Microphone
Mutes or unmutes you. The other person sees the icon change.
Allow your camera, tap Start, say hello. That is the short version. Below is the long one: what you will see on screen, what each button does, and where the free matches end and coins begin.
Your browser asks once. You will see a preview of yourself. If it looks fine, you are ready.
Pick Video, Audio or Text in the lobby, then tap Start. Matching takes a few seconds.
Chat as long as you like. Tap Next to move on. Report and block are there if someone breaks the rules.
That is the loop. If you have ever used a roulette-style site, it will feel familiar. If you have not, our overview of random video chat explains the idea in more detail.
Vidizzy needs two permissions: camera and microphone. Without them you can still look around, but live video cannot start. Use the preview to check three things: your face is lit from the front, nothing personal is visible behind you, and the sound level looks alive when you speak.
On a phone, hold the device upright and use Wi-Fi if you can. Both iPhone and Android work well in the browser, which makes Vidizzy a video chat app you do not have to install.
The lobby is where you decide how you want to talk. There is a bar with three choices: Video, Audio and Text. Video shows both faces. Audio is voice only. Text is typing only. You can pick a different one next time.
Not sure which to choose? Talk to strangers compares them side by side.

Turns your picture on or off without ending the call.
Ends this chat and finds someone new, right away.
Hangs up. If someone broke the community guidelines, you can report and block them.
Picture an ordinary evening. You open Vidizzy on your phone, allow the camera, and glance at your own preview. You pick Video and tap Start. A few seconds later someone is on screen, perhaps in a kitchen, perhaps in a car. You say hello. They say hello back in an accent you cannot place, and you ask where they are.
Ten minutes on, you have talked about food, football and a dog that keeps wandering into frame. Then it winds down, you say goodbye, and tap Next. The next person is quiet, so you skip them after thirty seconds. The one after that makes you laugh. That is the whole rhythm: a few that do not click, and now and then one that does.
You get a few free matches every day. That is usually enough to find out whether Vidizzy suits you. For longer or premium conversations, coins are used, and the price is shown before you commit. If you do not want to pay, you do not have to: come back tomorrow for more free matches.
| Free matches | Coins | |
